What is the OZEV homecharge grant
Please note: The current OZEV EVHS grant ends 31st March 2022 and can’t be claimed for installs completed after that date.
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) is a grant that reduces the cost of buying and installing a home charger by £350.
To be eligible for the grant you must:
Have dedicated off-street parking.
Not have already claimed the grant for your EV.
Not exceed the limit of two OZEV-funded chargepoints per household.
Own, lease or have use of an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle eligible for the grant.

Applying the EVHS to orders ahead of the March 2022 cut-off date
We have limited install slots available before the grant ends on 31st March 2022. Due to high demand, we can’t prioritise customers for install by the cut-off date.
From April 2022, the EVHS will no longer be open to homeowners (including people with mortgages) who live in single-unit properties such as bungalows and detached, semi-detached or terraced housing.
Installations in single-unit properties need to be completed by 31 March 2022 and a claim submitted to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) by 30 April 2022.
The scheme will remain open to:
- homeowners who live in flats
- people in rental accommodation (flats and single-use properties)
